Core Shifter w/ chrome stick for Jeep Wrangler : 1987-1995 4 cyl (AX5)

Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

• 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ - 2.5L 4 cyl only
  

ONLY FITS AX5 manual trans; kit is specific to YJ

• Does NOT FIT 6 cyl, newer models, Cherokee, or any other model
• 20" from base flange to top of knob; 29% throw reduction
• IF YOU HAVE a body lift (frame spacers) or transfer case drop: use an extension bracket to elevate stick

Kit includes chrome stick #0085, classic knob, base assembly, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. Lower bushing cup not included; reuse existing or buy separately. Compare to discontinued Hurst #3915043. The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:

• High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
• Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
• Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
• CNC-machined billet aluminum housing with steel wear clips
• Laser-cut steel lid & baseplate
