Description
Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:
- 1990-1993 Chevrolet S-10 & GMC S-15 / Sonoma - 4.3 L V6 only
- 1990-1994 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer & GMC S-15 Jimmy - (4.3 L V6 std)
ONLY FITS 5LM60 (1990-92) & NV3500 (1993-94) gearboxes specific to these models - GM RPO's MG5 & MY2
- Does NOT FIT any 4 cyl or 2.8L V6, newer models (different stick), full-size (C/K) trucks, or any other model
- Base configured for transmission receptacle height of 7/8" as original to these models
- Replaces GM #08672249 ; 12470373 ; 12382847 ; 27964
- IF your transmission has been serviced, it MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT BASE. If you install the wrong one it will not work properly and could cause damage. To confirm height, remove shifter base and measure transmission as shown in last pic
- IF YOU HAVE A 2"+ BODY LIFT: a taller stub or extension bracket may be needed
Kit includes chrome stick #0292, classic knob, base assembly w/ lower pivot cup, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, floor boot adapter grommet, and installation instructions. Throw is reduced by ~ 20%. Compare to discontinued Hurst #3910110
The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:
- High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
- Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
- Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
- Glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum socket with steel wear clips
- Rubber oil control seal with steel retaining ring
- Extruded aluminum housing with Spirolox steel support ring
- CNC-machined billet aluminum base
- Laser-cut steel lid
